When my husband was my fiancee (about 27 years ago) he would say that we were going to buy the old family farm and raise chickens, goats, etc. I would get so furious with him that I would cry! Well here I am on the family farm with chickens, children, dogs, ducks, rabbits, and goats and I'm loving it (mostly.) I enjoy photography (contact me to order prints), my family, and farm.
Oh my! What gorgeous colors on that rooster! Gosh, this brings back such fun memories from my grandma's farm. Only we killed and ate the chickens occasionally :( But we had to eat something, right? Not like you could buy chicken at the store in eastern europe back in the day...

ReplyDeleteSince I live in a suburb I can't have a chicken coop. But if I lived in a rural area I'd have a little backyard farm.
Who knew that chickens could be so cute! It helps when they have beautifully colored feathers. Thanks for the lovely pictures.
